August 2022 Weather Wrap For The Regional Radio Listening Area

(St. Francois County) The month of August was fairly normal in terms of temperature for the listening area, however, there was some significant news in the rain department. Back on August 4th, there was 2.59 inches of rain which broke a record for that day that had stood since 1943. For the entire month, the listening area received 5.42 inches of rain which is almost an inch-and-a-half more than a typical eighth month of the year. The average high for August was 85.9 degrees, slightly less than the regular high of 88.3 degrees. The average low was 64 degrees and the average at midnight for the month of August was 69.4 degrees.
