Authorities in Jefferson County Conducting Death Investigation Involving a Child

(Jefferson County) Authorities with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are currently conducting a death investigation involving a child.
Grant Bissell is the Public Safety Information Coordinator with the sheriff’s office. He says deputies were initially dispatched early Monday afternoon to a traffic accident in the 2300 block of Buck Creek Road, outside of Festus.
Bissell adds there is a lot of unknowns at this time in the investigation.
According to authorities, the child was a two-month-old male. The names of the parents and deceased child have not been released.
