(FRANKCLAY, Mo.) – The Class 2, District 3 volleyball championship match is set after the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds were played Monday night on AM 800 KREI.

The first quarterfinal saw fourth-seeded West County get upset by the fifth-seeded St. Vincent Indians in three sets.

The Indians got off to a quick start in the first.

It was a 25-18, 10-25, 25-22 win to advance St. Vincent to the semis.

Our other quarterfinal was a matchup between sixth-seeded Kingston and the third-seeded Jefferson Bluejays.

The Bluejays dominated the match, winning it on this point.

Jefferson moved onto the semis after the 25-14, 25-7 win.

The semis began though with St. Vincent returning to the court to face top-seeded Valle Catholic.

The Warriors swept the Indians, finishing it with their defense.

Valle won it 25-13, 25-19.

Warriors head coach Nancy Fischer thought they did well but has some things in mind she wants to address ahead of Tuesday’s championship match.

And Valle will be seeing Arcadia Valley in the aforementioned championship, after the Tigers dispatched of Jefferson in three sets.

It was a 25-22, 23-25, 25-18 win for last year’s runners up in the Class 2 State Tournament.

AV head coach Tara Lamb liked how her squad performed.

AV and Valle will now face off for the third time this year, with both teams having taken one match apiece to this point.
