AV’s Brogan Reflects On Athlete Of The Week Award

(IRONTON, Mo.) – Carter Brogan helped the Arcadia Valley Tigers finish 2-1 last week and was named the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy “Play It Forward” Athlete of the Week. Brogan drove in seven runs and batted .600 during the week, while also striking out eight batters in seven innings pitched. He said he has increased his pitching workload during his sophomore year.
The Tigers grabbed a significant MAAA-small school conference victory over Valle Catholic last Friday, snapping the Warriors’ 89-game regular season conference winning streak. Brogan pitched five scoreless innings and drove in the only run during the 1-0 win.
As the Athlete of the Week, Brogan decided to give $25 from Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy to Arcadia Valley’s “Backpack Impact” program.
