Ball-Hawking Defensive Back Carter Dix of Perryville Lands a Spot on the Regional Radio Football Dream Team

(Perryville, Mo.) Carter Dix showed off his elite athleticism and play-making ability from Perryville Pirates’ secondary all season long and played his way onto the 2019 Regional Radio Football Dream Team.

He says he appreciates the recognition after being a part of a talented Pirates defense the past few years.

While Dix was named a 1st Team All-Conference defensive back in 2018 and 2019, he also showed tremendous prowess as a starting wide receiver for Perryville. However, he says his preference was always on the defensive side of the ball.

With a tight knit senior class and his appreciation for head coach Blane Boss, Dix says playing for Perryville was a great experience.

Dix finished his senior season with 48 total tackles, two tackles for loss, three interceptions and two pass break-ups in addition to 19 catches for 256 yards and three touchdowns.

He will continue his playing career at Perryville in the spring with the Pirates baseball team.
