Be careful in and around residential areas on Halloween

(Hillsboro) Law enforcement agencies and first responders will be on high alert on Sunday for Halloween safety. Major Gary Higginbotham with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says they will have additional patrols out on that night, and reminds motorists to be mindful when traveling through residential areas.

Law enforcement agencies want to remind the public to try to walk in groups while trick or treating, it’s best to visit neighborhoods that you know well and feel safe and use flashlights or glowsticks whenever possible.
