Be Mindful Of Weather Conditions While Burning

(FESTUS) March can be known as a month of high winds and lots of temperature changes in terms of warm and cold. Conditions can be dangerous when it comes to burning around your home and property. Festus Fire Chief Jeff Broombaugh says to be mindful of your surroundings and weather conditions.

Bonfires and outdoor fire pits are popular this time of the year according to Broombaugh.

High temperatures are expected to get back into the 70s on Tuesday and hang around for a few days. Rainfall is possible for the next few days as well. The last few days have also been considered “Elevated Fire Danger” days.
