Belleview Man Appointed New Judge for Iron County

(Belleview) A Belleview man will be the next judge for Iron County.

On Wednesday, Governor Mike Parson announced the appointment of Scott Schrum as Associate Circuit Judge for the 42nd Judicial Circuit.

Schrum will fill the judge seat created by the retirement of the Honorable Randall Head.

Schrum has a lot of respect for Judge Head.

We asked Schrum what kind of cases he will be overseeing.

The soon-to-be judge wants to express some gratitude.

Scott Schrum is currently a partner at Marler Schrum Law of Farmington.

The Iron County man holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Central Methodist University in Fayette and a Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law.

He says he will be seeking a full term for the judge seat in next year’s election.

Schrum says next Friday is the tentative date for his swearing-in ceremony.
