(BISMARCK, Mo.) – Outfielder Malcolm Hawkins of the Bismarck Indians recently made the decision to continue his baseball playing career at Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis. Hawkins started playing for the varsity team during his freshman year and says he’s had some great memories playing for the Indians.

During his senior season, Hawkins earned second-team honors on the MAAA Small School All-Conference list. He says he has worked hard to improve his defense in preparation for the college level.

Hawkins says he instantly had a high comfort level when he visited Harris-Stowe.

Hawkins says he plans to major in education and eventually become a coach. The Harris-Stowe Hornets play in the NAIA’s American Midwest Conference.
