Blooomsdale Woman Injured in Crash

(Lawrenceton) A woman from Bloomsdale was injured Monday in a two vehicle accident in Ste. Genevieve County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident took place on ‘Y’ Highway, just east of Dietzfelbinger Drive when 41-year-old Joshua Heck of Arnold tried avoiding tire debris in the roadway.

His Chevy Cruze skidded across the centerline.

That’s when a Ford Escape driven by 53-year-old Tonya Grau began steering to the left to avoid Hecks’ vehicle.

The Cruze partially ran off the right side of the road but the front left of the Cruze struck the front left of the Escape.

Hecks’ vehicle then slid off the road after the colision.

Grau received the worst of it.

She was moderately injured and was taken to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
