Blue Jays Soar Over Valle

In a game heard earlier Wednesday on J-98, the Jefferson Lady Blue Jays defeated the Valle Catholic Lady Warriors 62-51 at Jefferson High School. Heidi Hearst had four 3-pointers for Jefferson, with three in the first quarter.
On Jefferson’s senior night, senior Hannah Becherer (BECKER) led all scorers with 23 points. Blue Jays head coach Brandon Joines says Becherer had a special senior night.
Valle head coach Lisa Callahan says her team needs to rebuild it’s confidence on offense.
With the victory, Jefferson finishes the regular season at 13-11 and sets its sight on the Class 3 District 3 tournament, with a first round matchup against West County coming on Saturday. Valle Catholic falls to 11-14 and has one more regular season game on Thursday night at home against Perryville.
