Blue Jays Will Open Football Campaign Against Fredericktown
(FESTUS)    Jefferson R-7 High School football Blue Jays will get their season underway on August 26th when they host the Fredericktown Blackcats.  Head football coach Matt Atley says his team had a good summer.

According to Atley, his biggest concern has been filling some spots on the offensive line.

Atley says he always stresses the importance of playing good defense.

The Blue Jays finished 5-5 last season.  They open their season at home against non conference opponent Fredericktown on August 26th.  The Jays go to Cuba in Week 2, then will host Herculaneum in Week 3 and then on September 15th the Jays will go to St. Pius to play the Lancers.
