Bonne Terre Prison Inmate Dies

(Bonne Terre) An inmate from the Bonne Terre prison died Tuesday.

66-year-old Daryl Shurn was pronounced dead after being taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City.

Shurn was serving a life sentence without parole for first degree murder and armed criminal action from St. Louis County.

He was first sent to prison in September of 1988.

The Missouri Department of Corrections says Shurn died of ‘apparent natural causes’.
