Bourbon Woman Seriously Injured in Auto Accident in Franklin County

(Washington, Mo.) A woman from Bourbon was taken to Mercy Hospital in Washington after being involved in a one-vehicle accident Friday morning in Franklin County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident took place on Whiskey Creek Road, near Brookside Lane, when a Dodge Stratus with an unknown driver was traveling eastbound on Whiskey Creek Road.

The vehicle then crossed the center line and traveled off the left side of the roadway before striking a tree.

The cause of the crash is unknown due to the limited information from the passenger involved and an unknown driver.

The passenger was 40-year-old Jennifer Phipps of Bourbon and she sustained serious injuries in the crash.
