Bridge in Crawford County Approved for Replacement

(Argo) Replacement of the Route ‘C’ bridge over the Little Bourbeuse River in Crawford County, located west of Bourbon, has been approved by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.

During its meeting today, the commission awarded the project to Gershenson Construction who submitted the low bid of 677,273 dollars.

The project consists of replacing the existing bridge with a new structure. Route ‘C’, at the bridge in Crawford County, will be closed to traffic for up to three months while the work takes place.

Motorists will need to use alternate routes during the construction.

Before work starts, MODOT will alert the public about the project and detour routes through signs, news releases to media and through social media.

The project is expected to begin this spring and be completed by December.
