BRL Boys Semis on J-98

(Ellington) Regional Radio heads back to Ellington High School tonight for the boys semifinals of the Black River League Tournament. The top seed, and number one team in Class One, South Iron Panthers will take on four seed Ellington. Then the two seed, and number two ranked team in Class One, Bunker Eagles will go against three seed East Carter.

South Iron are 15-2 this season but are coming off of a 12 point loss at Greenville this past Friday. The back-to-back state champions are led by senior Martez Burse and his 23 points-per-game. Coach Dusty Dinkins says you can’t overlook the competition in the BRL this year…

Ellington took down Clearwater Monday night in the first round of the tournament by a score of 88-63. The Whippets are 6-8 this year.
