Bruce pleads guilty, sentenced, in St. Louis County Court

After pleading guilty in St. Louis County court to 1st Degree Murder, 56-year-old Thomas Bruce was sentenced to life in prison in the Missouri Department of Corrections without the possibility of parole.

As part of Thomas’ plea and sentence, the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office will be dismissing his pending matter in the county which occurred on September 27th, 2018, when Bruce allegedly attacked a 77-year-old woman with whom he had no previous connections to.

On November 19th, 2018, Bruce walked into the Catholic Supply in Ballwin in St. Louis County and forced three women into a back room.

During that time he ordered the three women to perform sex acts. Bruce then shot and killed Jamie Schmidt for refusing his sexual assault.
