BRYANT, CASEY ACHIEVE MILESTONES IN WIN
The Central Rebels defeated the Valle Catholic Warriors, 98=52, Tuesday night. However, the story for Central is more than just getting the W.
The game was highlighted by Jobe Bryant scoring his 2000th career point on a stepback three in the second quarter. Bryant was asked postgame what that moment was like for him.
Caden Casey, who led all scorers with 27 points Tuesday night, said they had one goal in mind.
Casey was getting both his and Bryant’s records in the same quarter, as Casey hit a floater midway through the second quarter. When asked if Casey had planned on getting both milestones in the same quarter, his response?
“Not really.”
Bryant, Casey, and the Central Rebels will look to improve on their 6-1 record Thursday night as they travel to take on Saxony Lutheran. The game marks the final regular season game for the Rebels before the Bob Sechrest Tournament, which begins on December 26.
