Buerck Earns Dream Team Girls Soccer Player Of The Year After Sophomore Season

(PERRYVILLE, Mo.) – In just her sophomore season, Leah Buerck of the Perryville Pirates girls soccer team became one of the most prolific scorers in the area. She not only earned a spot on the Regional Radio Dream Team, but was also voted by area coaches as the Dream Team Girls Soccer Player of the Year. Buerck said it was an unexpected honor for her.
Buerck set a school record with 103 total points, scoring 39 goals and 25 assists, while also helping set an overall team record for scoring in a single season.
With two more years remaining with Perryville, Buerck wants to reach even higher in the future.
Buerck joined her senior teammate, Kirstin Jannin, on the Girls Soccer Dream Team this year.
