The Bunker Eagles are the 2019 Valley of Caledonia Tournament boys champions after they roll past the Bourbon Warhawsk 63-34 Thursday night.

Bourbon took the lead on a wild final play of the first quarter.

But the Eagles would retake the lead with a second-quarter run powered by the Applebee’s Player of the Game.

Sutton would finish with 22 points as the Eagles pulled away in the second half.
Head coach Jarod Kelly credited the dominant second half to his defense.

Bunker improves to 4-0 while Bourbon falls to 3-1.
The boys third-place game saw Kingston cruise past the host Valley Vikings 58-40.
The Cougars started to get some space in the second quarter.

While the Vikings pulled to within 31-26 at halftime, Kingston regained control in the second half thanks to sophomore forward Matt Nelson’s 17 points.
Cougars head coach Paul Hamilton loved the spirit his team showed in an early-season game.

Nelson was named our Applebee’s Player of the Game.
Kingston moves to 3-1 while Valley of Caledonia drops to 1-5.
