Bunker Man Injured in Reynolds County Crash

(Bunker) A man from Bunker was injured today in a two vehicle accident in Reynolds County.

The Highway Patrol says the accident took place on Highway 72 in Bunker when a 2018 Kenworth driven by 61-year-old Jimmy Privett of Salem and a Chrysler van driven by 74-year-old Everett Helvey of Bunker were both exiting the same parking lot when the big rig turned into the van, striking it.

Helvey received moderate injuries and was taken to Salem Memorial Hospital.
