(Jefferson County) A Byrnes Mill man will be recognized on Monday evening by a handful of first responding agencies in northern Jefferson County for his heroic and lifesaving actions during an incident that occurred over the summer.
High Ridge Fire Protection District Engineer John Barton says the incident occurred on July 29th during a vehicle accident.
According to Barton, it was local resident Elijah Huddleston who stepped in to rescue the person trapped in the vehicle.
Huddleston will be recognized during a special meeting Monday evening at 5 at High Ridge Fire Station House #1.
This meeting will follow CDC guidelines regarding social distancing and masks.
