Byrnes Mill Police Department to receive new body cameras and dashboard cameras

A Jefferson County municipal police agency will soon be getting new dashboard and body cameras for its officers.

Byrnes Mill Police Chief Frank Selvaggio is excited to have the camera system upgrade.

The new cameras will help in a variety of ways.

The new cameras are expected to be delivered sometime this week.

The Byrnes Mill Police Department employs 10 full-time officers along with one part-time officer and has a patrol fleet of 7 vehicles.

In addition, news cameras have been installed at Byrnes Mill City Hall which houses the police department among other city government offices.
