Caly Otec Represents St. Pius as Dream Team Volleyball Player of the Year

(FESTUS) Senior Caly Otec of St. Pius volleyball earned Player of the Year in her first time on the Regional Radio Dream Team.

Otec hammered down 299 kills, served up 37 aces, dug out 149 balls, and received serves at a nearly 97-percent rate, all while helping lead the Lancers to a runner-up finish at state in Class 2.

Caly got a chance to look at the list of other girls that made the volleyball Dream Team and was just happy the coaches chose her for Player of the Year.

The appearance at state for Caly this season was the 3rd time in her 4 years that she was able to go. That alone makes her high school career pretty great.

Caly sums up her “amazing” experience at St. Pius.

Caly Otec remains mum on her future in volleyball at the collegiate level but says that she definitely will have one.
