Camping Season About To Open At Lake Wappapello

(Wappapello) Campers should be preparing for their first weekend or first week in the great outdoors for 2023.

Campers will soon be able travel to Lake Wappapello.

That’s according to park ranger Anderw Jefferson with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The corps manages half of that lake in Wayne County.

The other portion of the lake is managed by the State at Lake Wappapello State Park.

According to the state park website, those campgrounds at the lake will open April 1st.
