Cape Central Football Defeats Farmington for Class 5 District Championship

The Cape Central Tigers football team is this year’s Class 5 District 1 Champion, as they defeated Farmington 37-13. Things started positive for the Knights, as they recovered an onside kick. It would help Farmington jump out to an early lead.

Cape Central scored the next ten points and took a 17-7 halftime lead. The teams stalemated for most of the third quarter until the Tigers broke the game open

Cape Central and Farmington each scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Tigers picked up another score from their second string in the final minutes. Knights head coach Erik Kruppe gives his takeaways from the game.
