(Imperial) Five individuals are now in custody after breaking into unlocked vehicles and garages with the doors left open. The incident began early this (Wednesday) morning around 4 AM in Imperial according to Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak.

Sheriff Marshak says the responding deputies were ready to act.

Sheriff Marshak believes at least some of the suspects were armed, if not all of them. 17-year-old Jahniy Dowdy of St. Louis is charged with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, Stealing a Firearm and Resisting Arrest. 17-year-old Raymon R Manley of St. Louis is charged with Stealing a Firearm and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 2nd Degree. Both are being held at the Jefferson County Jail on $100,000 cash-only bond. More charges are expected to be released today (Thursday).
