Car Clotters targeting neighborhoods in Pevely

(Pevely) It doesn’t seem to matter where you go in Jefferson County or in the greater St. Louis region, law enforcement agencies are reporting the cases of car clottings are once again increasing with the weather warming up.

Pevely Police Chief Mark Glenn says they are investigating vehicle break-ins on a consistent basis. He says a few of the cases involve guns being stolen.

Chief Glenn adds if you see something, say something.

In an effort to catch car clotting suspects, a few cities in the region have installed “FLOCK” cameras in highly travelled areas.

Officers can access real-time data of the make, model, color and license plate of vehicles captured in hopes to take action quickly if a wanted or stolen vehicle alert pops up.
