Car Crash Results In A Farmington Woman Going To The Hospital

(Ste. Genevieve) A car crash in Ste. Genevieve County Thursday afternoon sent a Farmington woman to the hospital. According to highway patrol, 75-year-old Janet McDoell was eastbound on Route ‘D’ at Westover Road in her 2012 Nissan Sentra at the time of the crash. McDoell failed to yield to a 2004 Chevy 1500 driven by a 17-year-old male from Festus that was traveling southbound. The juvenile male ended up hitting the side of McDoell’s Sentra, resulting in both vehicles being totaled. The 17-year-old did not suffer any injuries but McDoell received moderate injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center Farmington.
