Car thief arrested in Hillsboro

(Hillsboro) A Dittmer man was arrested and charged after being in possession of a stolen vehicle a few weeks ago. The initial call came into the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on September 23rd from a clerk at Britton’s Quick Stop near Hillsboro according to Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Grant Bissell.
Bissell says the man was taken into custody while the woman was charged at the scene.
The vehicle that was found at the scene was a 2010 Ford Focus, which was reported stolen from Marty Martin Road near Hillsboro on September 21st.
