(Coffman) A Catholic Church in Ste. Genevieve County has gotten a reprieve from the St. Louis Archdiocese.
The decision to merge St. Catherine of Alexandria in Coffman with St. Joseph of Farmington has been postponed.
In May, Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski announced the closing or mergers of several churches in the St. Louis region covering ten counties.
The suspension of the mandate is for an indefinite time, leaving the Coffman congregation in limbo for the time being.
