Cedar Hill man found guilty of murdering his wife

(Hillsboro) Last week, a Cedar Hill man was found guilty of murdering his wife. 65-year old, Steve Earnest Treece was found guilty of first-degree murder for the shooting and killing of his wife, 60-year old Donna Treece, at their home in Cedar Hill Lakes, a village of Cedar Hill. The incident took place on the morning of July 11th, 2018.

The guilty verdict was announced on Tuesday of last week. Assistant prosecuting attorney Travis Partney, who handled the case for the county Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, said the office will not pursue the death penalty in the case.

Sentencing for Steve Treece is scheduled for May 19th.
