Central and Farmington Girls Advance to the Class 4 District 2 Championship with Semifinals Victories Tonight on the MyMoInfo SportStream

(Park Hills, Mo.) The Class 4 District 2 girls basketball semifinals were heard on the MyMoInfo SportStream tonight with the Central Rebels and the Farmington Knights both earning wins to advance to the District Championship.

In the first semifinal game #1 Central topped the #4 Potosi Lady Trojans by a final score of 59-46.

Central came out firing in the first half as Aubree Eaton got the scoring going from deep.

Later on in the game, Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game Avery Norris put the finishing touches on the win.

Norris finished the game with 26 points.

Rebels head coach Josh Mapes says Norris took control as a senior leader tonight.

Central improves to 21-5 on the season while Potosi finishes the year at 13-14.

In the second girls semifinal it was #2 Farmington taking down the #3 North County Raiders by a final score of 61-49. The Knights got the scoring started thanks to freshman Angelia Davis.

Davis didn’t slow down as she kept the hot shooting going in the first half.

Davis was named the Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game as she finished with 20 points.

Farmington head coach Rusty Sancegraw says that foul trouble made him move some pieces around in tonights game.

The Knights improve to 13-12 on the season while North county finishes the year at 19-8.

Farmington and Central will now square off for the girls district championship coming up on Thursday and we’ll have coverage of that game beginning at 5:45 on 98.5 FM, J98.
