Central at Farmington to Wrap Regular Season

(Farmington) The Farmington Knights and the Central Rebels meet in the final week of the regular season with no conference and no district ramifications on the line…and the two teams and communities couldn’t be more excited. Central comes in 7-1 and ranked 7th in Class Three, while the Class Four Knights are 6-2. Central coach Kory Schweiss is happy that Farmington is on the schedule…

When Farmington coach Erik Kruppe takes a look at all the seniors on Central’s team, he’s not surprised they’ve had a great season…

Central’s only setback came in week two when they fell 59-52 to MICDS, the 2nd ranked team in Class 4. Schweiss says without that game, they may not be at the level they are now…

While coach Kruppe agrees that the Knight’s schedule has helped them become a better ball club…

Central beat Farmington last year on a field goal with 3.8 seconds left 17-14. You can hear the latest version of this St. Francois County rivalry from Haile Memorial Stadium in Farmington on AM 800 KREI.
