Central Boys Advance to State Quarters with 30 Point Second Half Turnaround

(Farmington) The Central boys turned a 10 point deficit into a 20 point victory in the Class 4 state sectional game at the Farmington Civic Center Monday night on J-98. The Rebels won a state playoff game for the first time since 2015 73-53 over Dexter. The first half went back and forth with Central holding a five point lead early, but Dexter pulling ahead by six at the half. Cole Nichols scored 16 in the first half and went 10 for 10 at the foul line. The Bearcats pushed the lead to 10 at 36-26 with 5:20 left in the third. That’s when the Rebels started their run. Central out scored the Bearcats 47-17 over the final 13:30.
