(STE. GENEVIEVE) In a game heard on J-98 on Friday night, the Central Rebels traveled to Ste. Genevieve where they defeated the Valle Catholic Warriors 49-39. Central controlled the game throughout, winning the first three quarters while narrowly being outscored in the final frame.

The Rebels were led by senior point guard Jake Casey who had 16 points and also scored our play of the game.

Casey was named the Applebee’s of Farmington Player Of The Game.
Central head coach Adam Barton felt his team did a good job jumping out to a lead and keeping it, though they never could pull away completely from Valle.

Valle Catholic was playing in their third game in as many nights, and head coach Tyler Search thought fatigue might have played a factor.
Despite that though, he loved the effort his team gave on the defensive side of the ball.

Central improves to 4-3 on the year while Valle falls to 2-3 on the season.
