Central Boys Host Potosi in District Semis on J98

(Park Hills) The Central boys basketball team hosts Potosi in the Class 4 District 2 semifinals tonight on J98.

The Rebels have won eight straight against the Trojans dating back to 2016, including a 65-54 win back on January 29th of this year.

Potosi is 6-4 over their last ten and 12-10 overall on the season.

They defeated Herculaneum 61-45 in the quarterfinals on Saturday for their first playoff win since 2017.

The defending district champion Rebels have tried to find their footing in the second half of the season but have managed just a 5-8 record in the new year and have not won back-to-back games over that span.

At 13-10 overall, they did earn a first-round bye, so this will be their first playoff action, but they won their last time out against Poplar Bluff 66-62 on Thursday.
