Central Christmas Girls Tournament Semifinals Recap

The South Iron Lady Panthers and Fredericktown Lady Blackcats played their semifinal game in the Central Girls Christmas Tournament yesterday and went down to the wire.  J-98 broadcasted the two girls semifinal games.  The Lady Panthers started the game with a slight advantage over the Lady Blackcats but Fredericktown took control in the 2nd quarter until late in the game when South Iron finally tied the game back up.

And with time winding down, South Iron found some magic.

South Iron coach Josh Rainey found his team down by nearly 10 points at the half. He tells us about his talk to the team at halftime.

The Central Lady Rebels have advanced to the championship game of their own holiday basketball tournament being played this week at the high school in Park Hills. J-98 broadcast both girls semifinal games yesterday (thursday) and the Lady Rebels dominated Festus with a 70-38 victory in the first semifinal matchup.

The Lady Rebels had control of the game throughout.

So, it will be South Iron versus the host Central Lady Rebels in the championship game Saturday night at 6 and we will bring you that game on J98. We will also bring you the girls 3rd place game Saturday on the Boot.
