Central falls at New Madrid in boys’ hoops sectionals on the SportStream

The Central Rebels did not have answers to slow down the New Madrid County Central Eagles and fell 76-51 in the Class 4 boys’ basketball sectionals Tuesday night on the MyMoInfo SportStream.

Central was able to stay afloat on offense thanks to sophomore Kendall Horton.

Horton scored a game-high 22 points and was the Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game.

But the Rebels would lost Horton for most of the second quarter due to foul trouble, and the Eagles pulled away from there.

New Madrid County Central lead by 20 at halftime and never looked back on their way to improving to 20-0.

The season ends for Central with a record of 15-11.
