Central Falls to Cardinal Ritter in Class Three Quarters

(Park Hills) The Central Rebels 8th bid to get to the Class Three state semifinals came up short Saturday afternoon in Park Hills. The 8th ranked Rebels fell to the number one ranked and undefeated Cardinal Ritter Lions 36-22 on J-98. Central went 58 yards in 10 plays to open the second half. Casen Murphy scored on a 10 yard run and then slammed in the two point conversion to make it a one score game at 22-14.
The teams traded touchdowns as Murphy found his favorite target, Jobe Bryant, to keep the Rebels within striking distance with just over 3:00 left…

However, Cardinal Ritter found the endzone on two Marvin Burks runs to complete the scoring. Burks carried the ball l7 times for 159 yards and three touchdowns.
Casen Murphy ran for 126 yards and threw for 196. Jobe Bryant caught six balls for 103.

Central closes the year at 11-2. Their only two losses came to the top two ranked teams in the state and they we able to knock off #2 Valle in the district championship game.
