(FARMINGTON) – The Farmington Knights and Central Rebels will renew a long-standing rivalry Friday in boys basketball action on KREI. Recent history is on the side of the Rebels, who have defeated the Knights eight times in 11 prior meetings over a four-year span. However, the Rebels are currently 8-9 and are trying to snap a five-game losing streak. Central coach Adam Barton said Farmington’s size presents a challenge offensively.

Meanwhile, the Knights look to keep their impressive season rolling, with a 14-2 overall record and a number 4 ranking in all of Class 4. Farmington coach Terry Noble said his group will have to focus on Central’s outside shooting ability.

The Rebels and Knights will meet at Black Knight Fieldhouse in Farmington with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show will begin at 7:15 p.m. on AM-800 KREI.
