Central Football Hosts Red Hot Ste. Gen Dragons Tonight on the MyMoInfo SportStream

(Park Hills) The #10 Central Rebels football team hosts the red hot Ste. Genevieve Dragons on the MyMoInfo SportStream tonight. The Rebels are 5-0 on the season and fresh off a 33-6 win over the Potosi Trojans while the Dragons have won their last two by an average score of 51-18. Ste. Genevieve started the season against three ranked opponents in Festus, Kennett and Valle Catholic and head coach Ken Weik thinks the turn around all starts with the offensive line.

The Dragons exploded for 59 points last week against St. Pius. Conversely, Central won easily 33-6 over the Potosi Trojans, but head coach Kory Schweiss was less than pleased with the execution at the line of scrimmage.

Last year, the Rebels and Dragons played twice with each team winning one. However, the Dragons won the more important one in the district tournament to keep their season alive. Coach Weik says this year is going to be much different with a younger team, but he expects it to be a physical game like always.

This will be the only chance these two teams get to play each other this year as they are not in the same district anymore. Central may be looking to avenge their season ending loss and coach Schweiss says his team can’t underestimate this Dragons football team.

The Central Rebles (5-0) host the Ste. Genevieve Dragons (2-3) tonight in Park Hills on the MyMoInfo SportStream at 7.
