Central Gets 2nd Shot at MIDCS in Class 4 Quarters

(Hillsboro) The Central Rebel boys have put together a sensational season. They are the 4th ranked team in Class 4 and have gone 26-3. One of their few blemishes came on January 10th, when they lost a home game against MICDS. The 63-45 loss was the only double digit setback of the year. Today (Friday) the Rebels have a chance to make amends. They get a second shot at the 23-6 Rams who are ranked 3rd. The winner today goes to the final four. Central senior Kendall Horton says MIDCS shot well in the first meeting…

Central coach Brad Gross says the Rams are also adept at keeping the opposition from scoring…

Central came from 10 down in the second half of the sectional win to beat Dexter by 20. MICDS topped Sullivan by 12. Central has been to the final four only once before in program history. They finished 3rd in 1976. MICDS has one state championship and one second place finish. We’ll broadcast the game on AM 800 KREI starting with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show at 4:15 from Jefferson College in Hillsboro.
