Central Girls Basketball defeats Farmington, 66-36
(Farmington) The Central Lady Rebels basketball team got another big win against Farmington Thursday night, 66-36. The game was back and forth early, but Central grabbed control late in the first quarter. The second quarter was owned by Central too, thanks to Taylor O’Connor.

O’Connor was one of four Rebels to finish in double figures. She finished the night with 20 points. Sydney Miles added 15, Khloe Dischbein had 14, and Blair Sitton tacked on 10 more off the bench.
Farmington never quit. The Lady Knights put together a solid third quarter, as Brynn Johnson found her shot.

Johnson led the Lady Knights with 14 points, and Shelby Bowling added 8. Farmington was held to only four points in the final quarter, but head coach Rusty Sancegraw praised his team’s effort.

Lady Rebels head coach Aaron Tyree comments on the work ethic of Taylor O’Connor, and her impact on the team.

The Lady Rebels improve to 10-2 on the year with this win, which is their 18th straight against Farmington. They’ll face Dexter in Jackson’s Lady Indian Shootout this weekend. Farmington drops to 9-4. The Lady Knights host Festus for their next game.
