In a MAAA matchup heard on AM 800 KREI, the Central Rebels girls basketball team defeated the Farmington Knights 69-32 on Wednesday in Park Hills.

Central controlled the game throughout, as they led after the first quarter 26-4. Sophomore Sophia Horton led the way with 26 points, including 21 in the first half.

Horton was awarded our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game.

Rebels head coach Josh Mapes was pleased with the output from his team both offensively and defensively.

Central improves to 16-2 on the year with a 4-1 record in MAAA play. For Farmington, they fall to 7-11 on the year featuring a 1-4 record in the MAAA.
The Knights are off until the MAAA Tournament while Central plays Oran on Saturday.
