Central knocks off North County in MAAA opener

The Central Rebels cruised to an important 64-36 win over the North County Raiders Thursday night in the opener for both teams in MAAA play.

Central raced out to a 24-7 lead after the first-quarter and never looked back, thanks in large part to a flurry of scoring off the bench from a junior.

Jessica Hulsey earned Applebee’s Player of the Game with those 9 points.
Kaley Kimball finished with a game-high 14 points.
Rebels head coach Josh Mapes appreciated the effort his team gave in a cruical league matchup.

Central improves to 12-3.
The Rebels will play at Gateway Saturday.
