(Park Hills) This hasn’t been a horrible winter in terms of weather, but it has been bad enough to force area school districts to cancel class on numerous occasions. That includes the Central R-3 District in Park Hills. Mike Harlow is the assistant superintendent of the district. He says since they went to an hours based school calendar, the weather hasn’t been nearly as big of an issue to deal with.

Central has missed right around ten days of school so far. With the new calendar, the average school day is about 20 minutes longer for the district. Hear more with Harlow below.
