Central Rebel Football Wins Class 3 District 1 Title With 52-13 Win Over Ste. Genevieve

(Park Hills) The Central Rebels (8-3) are the Class 3 District 1 Champions following their 52-13 win over the Ste. Genevieve Dragons on J-98 Friday night. Ste. Gen got the scoring started just 16 seconds into the game.
Just 20 seconds later, Central got on the scoreboard and did not stop until there were two minutes left in the 2nd quarter, when Kannon Harlow got in on the action, bringing the score to 52-6 in favor of the Rebels.
Central coach Kory Schweiss says one of the keys to their success was the tempo of the game.
Ste. Gen’s Jay Pope celebrated his team’s growth.
The Dragons end their season at 8-4. The Rebels will face the St. Francois Borgia Knights in the State Quarterfinals next week.
