(PARK HILLS, Mo.) The 2019 season is looking to be another successful one for the Central Rebels volleyball team.

Coming off of a 23-8-2 season, a 10-win improvement from a year prior, the Rebels will return 4 starters in 2019.

One starter that will have to be replaced is middle blocker Callie Thurston, who was a well rounded middle who could play all six rotations.

Casey talks about the competition there.

Another starter gone from a year ago is Hannah Stewart, who was a part of head coach Tracie Casey’s two-setter system last year.

Casey says they’ll run the same system this year.

And by the way, Addisyn Casey is the daughter of coach Casey.

She’s a captain this year along with fellow setter Avery Norris.

With middles like the aforementioned Thurston in the past who can play six rotations, coach Casey hasn’t seen the need for a libero in the past.

That’ll change this year though, as Jessica Hulsey will point guard the defense.

The Central Rebels volleyball team gets their season started next Tuesday at home in Park Hills against Windsor.

Their following contest is Thursday at Valle Catholic and can be heard on the MyMoInfo Sports Stream.
