Central Runs Away With 74-51 Win Over Valle Catholic On J98

(Ste. Genevieve) The Central Rebels defeated Valle Catholic, 74-51, Tuesday night on J98.

Valle Catholic’s only lead in the game came after scoring the first points of the game.

Central led 25-12 at the end of one quarter, but Valle’s Harry Oliver made his presence known from the start…

 

Oliver had a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds on the night. Central junior Caden Casey finished the night with 17 points and eight steals…

 

The Rebels went into halftime leading 36-19 after getting lucky at the buzzer…

 

Triston Stewart and Zack Boyd held down the paint for Central. Stewart had 11 rebounds and six points while Boyd gave seven points and six boards…

 

Valle outscored the Rebels in the third quarter, but Central pulled away to win by 23 points.

Casey was the Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game.

Jobe Bryant contributed 26 points for the Rebels. Sam Drury added 18 points for Valle Catholic.

Central improves to 6-1 and will face Perryville in the first round of the Central Christmas tournament on Monday. The Rebels are the #1 seed.

Valle Catholic are now 4-2 and will face Valley Park in their own Christmas tournament on Monday. Valle has the #2 seed.
